The Isolation Quarantine Center (IQC) was developed by the City in coordination with the St. Joseph County Department of Health in response to COVID 19.

Who is eligible

The Isolation Quarantine Center (IQC) is intended for those individuals:

  1. Who are COVID positive and unable to return home, or under investigation for COVID and unable to return home, or living in a congregant living environment with symptoms suspicious for COVID (testing for the later individual will be obtained after admission to the IQC)
  2. Who are willing to comply with isolation in a single room until no longer meets CDC guidance for isolation
  3. Who are able to complete activities of daily living
  4. Who are not an immediate danger to self


Program Start

April 16, 2020 until no longer needed


Referrals

Referrals to the IQC through the Department of Health can only be made by a primary care physician, a hospital, or an agency serving persons experiencing homelessness


311 Process Notes

  • The IQC does NOT take walk-ins
  • The IQC does NOT allow visitors
  • Individuals inquiring or suggesting they want to be referred, MUST contact their primary care physician, go to a health clinic, call 2-1-1, or if homeless go through a service provider
