SW-INQUIRY: Customer Return Call to Approve or Decline Extra Pick-up Charge

Customer returning a call for Solid Waste to verify charges for an extra trash pick-up.

Who needs to approve or deny an extra pick-up charge?

Any resident paying for City trash services that has received a call from the Solid Waste Division requesting approval for extra pick-up services. The person giving the approval must be the account holder and provide the last four digits of the account holders Social Security number.

When does a resident need to approve or deny a charge?

This occurs when the free monthly extra trash pick-up exceeds a cubic yard/ single large item. If there is a charge of more than $100.00, the Solid Waste office staff will call for approval before picking. If the resident does not answer, a voicemail is left with a request for a call back for approval. All calls need to be returned within an hour or the extra will need to be rescheduled for the following week by calling the City's 311 call center.
