SBFD-INQUIRY: Request a Fire Report

The South Bend Fire Department responds and reports on any unintended structure or property fire in the city limits of South Bend.  Fire Reports are available to residents, attorneys, or insurance companies requiring information about a fire department response.  Simple summary face sheets can be provided immediately, but a complete Fire Report requires the requestor to complete an Access to Public Records Request prior to the report being released.

Where is Request a Fire Report occurring?

Fire Reports can be picked up or requested at the South Bend Fire Department Administrative Offices located at 1222 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana.

The South Bend Fire Department provides reports for incidents that occur within the City limits of South Bend.  If you have a 5 digit address you would need to contact the Township Fire Department that provides your servies.

Fire Reports are available to residents, attorneys, or insurance companies requiring information about a South Bend Fire Department response.  

When can I make a fire report request?

Fire Reports are available during our office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday excepting City Holidays.

Fire Reports are generally available on the next business day following the event.
