Beginning Monday, March 23, the City of South Bend will resume leaf pickup in Zone 7. Once crews complete the first round of pickup in Zones 7 through 9, they will return to Zone 1 to begin a second pass through the city.
All dates on the schedule are weather permitting and any changes will be posted on the City's website. Track the progress of City crews using the Leaf Pickup Live Tracker.
Residents WILL NOT need to call to request a pickup. Leaves need to be free of trash and other debris or they may not be collected.

Is there a schedule for leaf pickup? When will my leaves get picked up?
City crews will start picking up leaves in Zone 7. Once crews complete the first round of pickup in Zones 7 through 9, they will return to Zone 1 to begin a second pass through the city. Crews will go through neighborhoods, street by street beginning Monday, March 23.
How do I get my leaves picked up?
Crews will start on opposite sides of the city to provide better coverage and efficiency.
Residents are asked to follow these guidelines for the program:
- Leaves must be raked to the tree lawn area, NOT into the street, by 6 am on the scheduled set out date.
- Leaves need to be free of sticks, trash and other debris.
- Cars should not be parked on top or in front of leaf piles.
- Burning of leaves is prohibited and is a violation of City ordinance.
- Residents may call 311 with any questions.
