Trash Pickup Holiday Schedule
If weekly Solid Waste service falls on or after a City holiday, pickup will be delayed by one day. If your normal pickup is before the holiday that week, there will be no change to your service. Service may also be delayed due to extreme weather or other extenuating circumstances.
What 2025 holidays will impact trash service?
The 2025 designated holidays that will impact service are listed below. Service will be delayed by one day for those whose normal pickup falls on or after the holiday during the same week:
Wednesday, January 1, 2025 — New Year’s Day
Monday, January 20, 2025 — Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Monday, May 26, 2025 — Memorial Day
Thursday, June 19, 2025 — Juneteenth
Monday, September 1, 2025 — Labor Day
Tuesday, November 11, 2025 — Veteran’s Day
Thursday, November 27, 2025 — Thanksgiving
Thursday, December 25, 2025 — Christmas Day
When will my trash get collected due to a holiday?
When a holiday falls on or before your normal pickup day (Monday — Thursday), service will occur on the following day. For example, if a holiday is on a Monday, the trash pickup schedule for the week is as follows:
Monday – Service will occur on Tuesday.
Tuesday – Service will take place on Wednesday.
Wednesday – Service will occur on Thursday.
Thursday – Service will take place on Friday.
Weather and/or extenuating circumstances may also delay trash service by more than a day.
